How to Care for Your Cyanotype

• Over-washing may cause the print to fade.

• Keep washing to a minimum if possible.

• Turn your garment inside out and do not use any soap or detergent containing phosphates, bleach, or sodium.

• If your print appears to have faded there are two options to try and restore the print. First is to store the garment in a dark space to allow the blue dye to return. Another option is to rinse the print in a dilute hydrogen peroxide solution and then rinse with water.

• Do not dry in direct sunlight.
